So I thought I'd dive straight into the whole "2016 in review" kind of thing! And before I start; these are just my opinions okay? If y'all start being rude about me not including your favourites or putting them in the wrong order... Don't. We all have different opinions and these are mine. There's about 5 more albums I wanted to include, but... no. Shout out to 24K's album The Real One which literally was 10,5 on the list. Literally. And oh, special shout out to SF9's single album Feeling Sensation. It just contained three songs but it was still insanely good. It didn't really feel right putting it on the list, but... yes. It's really good. Also, these 10 albums are my favourites from this year and hell yes I'm biased. No, okay I'm not. I've tried to just be really unbiased and one of the albums I thought would end up being number two actually ended up being number 8...  I've just kinda thought about what albums I've listened the most to. So yah. Also, I'll be making a special one for k hip hop if anyone wonders why Yoongi's mixtape didn't make the cut... Anyways, let's go into it! (Ps! 10: Block B : BASTARZ - WELCOME 2 BASTARZ 

(Released October 31st)

I freaking adore BASTARZ. My bias in Block B happens to be one of three in BASTARZ, and I fell in love with their music the first time I heard Zero for Conduct. That song had such a hard hip-hop vibe that I was floored immediately and when they announced this album I was so hyped. The first song they teased was Selfish and Beautiful Girl and it was so different from Zero For Conduct. I was a bit disappointed at first, but then I saw the video and the song grew on me. The album was only released 1,5 months ago but it's already on my top 10 list of the best albums this year, so surely that has to mean something. I love the tongue in cheek lyrics, the beats, the vocals... Make It Rain is such a good song that I can't believe it didn't get more people into BASTARZ. Make It Rain should've won every single time it was up on a music show. That's how good it is. Honestly, just go listen to it now. I live for the kind of dirty lyrics and P.O's deep voice, mixed with U-Kwon and B-Bomb's outstanding vocals. That's Right is so soulful and I bloody love Tightly?? It's so sensual.

9: Mamamoo - Melting

(Released February 26th)

My queens!! My freaking queens. I live for Mamamoo, honestly. They were the first girl group I stanned and they pulled me in with their insane vocals, fun songs and hilarious personalities. They're recently put out a new album but I've been a bad fan and not listened to it very much. I'm still sat here with Melting on repeat. This album is absolutely insane. It starts off with the hilarious Taller Than You (1 cm) - google the lyrics, it's basically where the members roast each other - and after that it's just jam-packed with insane songs. From beautiful ballads like Words Don't Come Easy, to the brilliant uptempo track that is You're the Best, to the kinda odd Funky Boy.... They deliver vocals that will blow your mind. It's such a great album and I'm so in love with ut. I could go on forever and ever about their vocals and their raps but I won't. That's what twitter is for.

8: Seventeen - Love & Letter Repackage Album 

(Released July 4th) 

Okay, I love Seventeen. I love this album. A lot. Everything these thirteen boys touch seem to turn into something brilliant. I'm a very big performance unit stan (but my bias... is in hip hop unit) and whenever they get some time to shine, you know I'mma be all over that. Love & Letter was released on April 25th, and it's an amazing album but I had to include the repackage here since Seventeen blessed us with 5 incredible songs. On Love & Letter, I was obsessed with Chuck. I loved the weirdness of it? The "What the funk yo" part? Sign me the f up. Also, Still Lonely is so damn good, I'm still not over it. There's both uptempo tracks and ballads on the album, with Love Letter being the best ballad until the repackage dropped and Woozi blessed everyone with Simple. (I'm sorry but HONESTLY. Listen ti Simple and tell me it's not one of the best ballads to come out this year?) Also, Very Nice was a really good comeback and I was so ecstatic to finally get a studio version of No F.U.N.

7: NCT 127- NCT #127 THE FIRST MINI ALBUM

(Released July 10th)

I told myself I wouldn't get into NCT, but when I heard their first sub-unit's first song (7th Sense by NCT U) I was floored and then I heard Fire Truck by NCT 127 and I knew I was screwed. I bought the album after only listening to it twice and that says a lot. Normally I tend not to by albums until I 100% stan the group, but there I was ordering NCT 127's album after listening to it twice and not even knowing their names yet. All I knew was that album was hella good. The album has 7 songs, since it's a mini album, and it's both uptempo tracks like Fire Truck, to heavily rap-focused songs like Mad City, to ballads like Paradise. Honestly, the entire album is just amazing. There's not a single song on there that I don't love and I'm so excited to see what NCT has to offer in the future.

6: GOT7 -  Flight Log: Turbulence

(Released September 27th)

Okay, if you know me this is a very big surprise. I was a mess when this album came out - no lie. I listened to it and only it for about a week. Breathed this album. I was shook. And I freaking LOVE it. I really do. But, it's not the best album I've heard this year. I feel awful even putting it this low, the IGOT7 in me is kicking and screaming. Originally, I placed this on #8. Then I told myself to get a grip and it ended up being #6. It has 13 songs, and all 13 songs are true bops. I'm so proud of my boys for working on almost every single song on the album, and I'm especially happy that Jackson finally got his songs on an album. He's so great. Hard Carry killed me the second I heard it, honestly it's SO good. It's not my favourite on the album though. Flight Log: Turbulence has so much to offer. From EDM inspired Hard Carry to tongue in cheek Boom x3, from the very sensual Prove It to fun Who's That and My Home, from rap-centric No Jam to the beautiful ballad that is Sick. Honestly, even if you're not a GOT7 stan, give this album a chance. They show so much musical diversity and I love them for that.

5: Monsta X - The Clan Part 2: Guilty 

(Released October 4th)

I love Monsta X very very much and I'd probably do anything for them to finally get their first win. They deserve it SO much and I could talk about that forever but this is not the time nor place. They dropped two mini albums this year, as part of their The Clan concept. This is the second part, and it has 6 songs. The title song is Fighter, a strong song with a lot of strong vocals and rap parts. Fighter is honestly one hell of a good track, and in comparison to other singles from my other ult groups, I very much prefer Fighter over many of them. There's also the EDM influenced Be Quiet, a true dance track, and ballads such as White Love where every single member - even the rapper line - gets a chance to show off their vocals. Since y'all probably know who I bias (Wonho) I am over the moon that my man's getting more lines in this album. What I'm not over the moon about, however, is the lack of lines Hyungwon is getting. But, not the time nor place.

4: SEVENTEEN - Going Seventeen

(Released December 5th)

Okay, yes this was released a week ago. BUT IT'S SO GOOD. Honestly, this album. Amazing. BOOMBOOM is a really good title track, and I feel like Seventeen's vocals have improved SO much. The album has 8 songs with three team songs; Highlight (Performance Team),  Lean On Me (Hip Hop Team) and Don't Listen in Secret (Vocal Team). Beautiful and I Don't Know are both mixed unit songs, while Smile Flower, Fast Pace and BOOMBOOM are all of the boys. There's beautiful ballads and uptempo tracks and I think what surprised me the most was the hip hop team's song, Lean On Me. It's slow paced but their vocals are absolutely insane. I love the way they rap slowly and their voices are strong and it just really works. I need to give a shout out to Fast Pace, because there's some high notes in there that blow my mind! DK, you've outdone yourself boy. Smile Flower or Flower Smile, is absolutely breathtaking. Honestly. Everyone sings, and their vocals are just stunning. I can't believe that we got to hear the entire hip hop unit sing and that they all have vocals that can make me weep. I think this album is one of the best ones that Seventeen has released and I love them so much. They're all so talented, in writing, producing and composing their own music. Listen to this album, please. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and by the way. Highlight is the best song on this album hands down. Hoshi is a goddamn genius and I love that song more than anything right now.

3: Monsta X - The Clan Pt 1: Lost

(Released May 18th)

Yes, I love The Clan Pt. 1 more than Pt. 2. Okay? I could listen to All In for days without getting tired of it? And don't get me started on Ex Girl. It features Wheein from Mamamoo and honestly?? What a masterpiece. It's so beautiful and I love "ballads" that have strong rap parts and since it's Monsta X, it obviously does. Jooheon kills me in the beginning when he says "my little princess" but yes. Amazing song. And from that, it just gets better. Stuck is another masterpiece, a strong song with EDM vibes and a beat that gets stuck in your head for days. Sweetheart is an adorable ballad where Monsta X really do get to showcase their vocals. Unfair Love is another uptempo song that really gets stuck in your head. The na-na-na-na bit? Yeah, it's been stuck in my head for days and I'm not even angry about it. Because of U is a kinda weird song but it's so catchy?? It's not uptempo but not a ballad? The beat is very strange but they make it work. I've listened to this album more than what is probably normal and while it's not my favourite Monsta X album (sorry, Rush holds that spot lol) it's absolutely incredible and I wish more people would appreciate Monsta X and their talent.

2: GOT7 - Flight Log: Departure

(Released March 21st)



I love this album so much. So much that I own 5 physical copies of it. Yes, that much. If there's one album I can say I've played on repeat at least thrice a week, it's this one. Sometimes it's even been on repeat once a day. I've definitely listened to it once a day, that's for sure. I was a GOT7 stan before this album came out, but this was the first comeback I experienced as an IGOT7 and it kind of killed me and dragged me into the hell that is stanning GOT7. I bloody love it though. As soon as I heard Fly, I was sold. I knew it would be one of the best songs I'd hear this year. Then I started listening through the album. I heard Can't and didn't know whether to smile or weep, then I heard See the Light and I was floored by the melody?? the vocals?? the rap??. After that came Fish and I've never laughed as much as I did the second I heard "Welcome to the fishtank!". Honestly Im Jaebum, what the hell went through your mind when you wrote this?? (Low-key, I'm the #1 Fish stan. I love this song so much even if it's ridiculous) Then, Rewind. Oh dear God Rewind. Youngjae, you genius and wonderful man. Rewind is 100% one of the best songs GOT7 has ever made. The vocals. The melody. The rap. The lyrics. Everything about this song just works. Fun fact: one of my 20 most played songs of the entire year. (I blame it all on Jinyoung's verse. I mean.) Beggin On My Knees is another one of my all time faves from GOT7. It's fun, it's catchy, it's easy to listen to and dear GOD does it get stuck in my head. Something Good oh my god, y e s. I love everything about this song and it's one of the songs I sometimes forget is on the album but then I listen to it and I love it. Yugyeom's voice is so good in this song and it works so well with this beat. Also, Home Run?? Another bop, one of their best ever. It's cheesy and it's such a fun track. I love it so much.

1: BTS - Wings

(Released October 10th)

(warning. this will be a long ass description. Sorry. I really tried shortening it down but eh...)

Yes, my kings. Honestly, they are my kings. My absolute favourite group ever. I can very well be critic of the things they do, but this album is a fricking masterpiece. Let me break it down. From the intro that is Boy Meets Evil, we're immediately transported into the world of BTS. J-Hope drags us into their universe with his insane rap and vocals, before we're thrown into Blood Sweat and Tears. This song. THIS GOD DAMN SONG. Sometimes I think BTS are out to kill me, and this song was a damn good try. Everyone's vocals are absolutely mindblowing. The high notes? The falsetto? J-Hope's chorus?? The rap parts? Yes, sign me the f up. I'm down. After Blood Sweat and Tears, it's Jungkook's time to shine. Ah Golden maknae, what can't you do? Literally, is there something you're not capable of? Jungkook's voice here is so goddamn stunning and if you read the lyrics it will 100% bring you to tears. He cares so much about the people around him and he's just a beautiful human. The song starts off as a ballad but the chorus has this weird dance beat, but it's SO good. This song grows on me every time I hear it, just like Lie does. Jimin's solo is probably one of my favourite solo songs. It's such a powerful song and his voice is insane? I mean, we already knew that didn't we? But this song... Holy hell. The chorus always blows my mind, no matter how many times I hear the song. After Jimin's solo, it's my boy's time to shine. Mr. Kim Taehyung, with the deep and soulful voice. I was actually not hooked the first time I heard Stigma, but when he took the high notes.... I was ready to burst into tears. I had goosebumps and it was because he did THAT. After Tae's solo, it's Suga's time to shine and boy does he shine. First Love is my favourite solo on the album, because there's something about Yoongi's voice that just calms me down as well as triggers these feelings inside of me. I can't explain it but his voice is so powerful and so capable of just filling people with emotion. His voice is so raw and the emotions are just spilling all over. I love this song so insanely much. After Suga, it's Rap Monster's turn. Reflection was the first one on the album that actually brought me to tears. Since my korean is very shaky and kinda minimal, I looked up the lyrics the second time I listened to it. He sings a fair bit of the song in English and when I read the rest of the lyrics, I just burst into tears. I'm sure we've all hated ourselves sometimes, and felt like we're all alone in the world. This song made me remember all the times I've felt like that, and I'm so glad that Namjoon wrote this song. I listen to it whenever I do feel alone and I feel less alone, because in some twisted way I know that I always have BTS. Namjoon is so wise and he writes the deepest lyrics, and this song never fails to make me cry but it also makes me feel less anxious. But honestly, most times I hear it I just want to find Kim Namjoon and give him a hug. Time for a mood change, and who else but J-Hope can deliver that! Oh Jung Hoseok, how boring life would be without you. MAMA is such a killer track. I just want to dance when I hear it and I can't dance at all??? It has some amazing beats in it and J-Hope's voice works so well with the melody and the beat. He both raps and sings and I'm like?? What can't this amazing guy do. Ah Seokjin, finally. As a BTS stan, I wish everyone would love and appreciate Kim Seokjin a little bit more. His voice especially. It's so stunning. Can you believe there are people who say he can't sing? Whenever I see someone say that, I just want to send them a link to Awake and make them listen to it. I listen to this when my anxiety gets the best of me, and it feels a little easier to breathe. I also listen to this when I can't fall asleep. It calms my soul, that's what Jin's voice does. The Cypher's have been everyone's favourite songs for so long, and I've been wondering when Vocal Line would get their song. And now, finally! They decided to bless us all with Lost and I'm so so so so glad they did. It's such a wonderful song. Their voices blend so well and the melody and the beat is amazing. After Lost.... it's Cypher Pt 4. As an avid fan of the Cypher's (who isn't?), I was a little disappointed at first. My fave Cypher is Pt 2, and this was so different. But after three listens, I was hooked. It's so in your face, the whole "sorry bae" thing made me laugh and I freaking love the cockiness and how strong the lyrics are. Rapper line really killed it, again. When I have a bad day, I listen to this and I just... get so hyped up. Am I Wrong is sampled from a song by Keb Mo, an american blues singer. It's so catchy and the beat is so amazing. It's one of my favourite BTS songs ever, and it's just something about it that makes it stand out so much. Vocals and rap on point as always. 21st Century Girl is by far my favourite on the album. Yes. I love it so much. Honestly. I can't even put it into words. It makes me so happy??? The lyrics are amazing?? Empowering women?? AMAZING. This song is just the best, 10/10 would recommend it. Would also recommend watching a live performance of it because the choreo is ridiculously cute. Two! Three! (Still Wishing There Will Be Better Days) is a song from BTS to Army and it's just the most beautiful song. The lyrics make me feel all fuzzy inside and I'm so blessed to stan such brilliant people as BTS. (Okay, so I'm very biased now but come on. Even FUSE put this album as the 8th best of the year. An American channel!) The album ends in a spectacular way, with Interlude: Wings. The track most likely to be played in a club? Yes. The best way to end an album? Yes. Do I want a longer version since this is just over 2 minutes? Yes. 100%. Rap is on point as are the vocals. One of my faves, ever. In conclusion: Best album of the year. Maybe of the least two years. Listen to it. Buy it. Live it.

okay, so I know the whole "age - work - name - hobbies" thing is completely irrelevant to y'all, right? It's literally not at all what you wanna know, right? Don't worry, I gotchu. If you, like me, are a kpop stan then this is most likely what you wanna know: ult groups, other groups I stan, how long I've been a fan and so on. I'll give you the lowdown. Oh, and I'm 25 so I'm old as hell when it comes to being a kpop stan (actual truth, I've been on kpop twitter for 1,5 years I know what's up).

• How long have I been into kpop? 2 years this december. Time flies when you throw yourself into a mad world. (No regrets)

• Ult groups? Oh boy. BTS (as if you didn't figure that out already), GOT7, Monsta X, Seventeen and Block B. Okay and EXO. I could go on for days. But I will not. 

• Other groups I stan? Haaaaa. Okay. 24K, SF9, Topp Dogg, Mamamoo, AOA, NCT, Shinee, Teen Top, Sistar, Pentagon, IOI, WJSN, 2PM. Also BASTARZ, the block b subunit. Obviously.

• Groups I want to stan? BTOB!!! VIXX, BAP, KNK, B1A4, GFriend, Wonder Girls, Oh My Girl, History... A bunch! Recommend me some stuff to watch / listen to please! 

• Biases? How long have you got? No, really. I have three ults, Park Jinyoung (GOT7), Kim Taehyung (BTS) and Shin Hoseok (Monsta X) and that's all you need to know. (Here's my bias thread on twitter!)

• Most played song this year? According to spotify, Lotto by EXO. According to Lastfm, Mansae by Seventeen lmao (I had to sync Seventeen to spotify and they didn't put their albums on until like mid-year so my plays didn't count :( ) 

I don't know if any of you have ever had an issue with mental illness. 

I have. I'm still struggling and it's honestly hell. Some days when I wake up, I feel like nothing is impossible, like I can do anything. Most days are good days. But then, there's the bad days. Sometimes it'll start out like a good day, and then come the evening and the anxiety will slowly creep up on me. It can come slowly, or it can come crashing over me like a bloody wave. Lately, it's happened a lot when I've been at work which isn't ideal. I've figured out that it's due to my insane schedule (working 230 hours this month) and my full time studies, as well as moving to a new apartment and decorating it. It's been a bit much lately and I've not been myself. I've been isolating myself a lot, only seeing two of my friends and kind of neglecting the others. It's not right, but I can't help it. I don't want to go out, I don't wanna go to parties. I just want to stay at home and watch tv shows and be alone. But even so, I hate being alone. It's so weird. I like being alone most times, but 50% of the negative thoughts inside my head are about me being alone because no one likes me, and how no one ever will. While I know that it's not true, my brain has a terrifying way of convincing myself that it's the truth. 

Even if I choose to be alone and be by myself, sometimes that will lead to an anxiety attack and me crying for several hours because I feel so lonely. It makes no sense. I wish that I could change so much of what I feel, and I wish that I wouldn't sometimes burst into tears because I feel like my life is so empty and that I am so alone. A lot of my friends have partners, or they're talking to someone that they like... And then there's me, who's not really got anything going on in the romantic department. And you know, most days I'm 100% fine with that. I don't need anyones attention or validation to feel happy and to be content with myself. I am my own hype squad - literally. But, it honestly sucks feeling like you will never meet someone. I don't know why I feel like this and it's so dumb. And this is coming from a girl who only wants to spend time in her apartment and be alone. 

Mental illness isn't something I've discussed before and it's not something I happily open up about. But it's tearing me apart. I've been doing a lot of night shifts at work lately, and then always end with me crying. And most times I don't even know why I'm crying, I just feel like the world is crashing around me. Most days, I struggle to feel excitement. The only thing I really feel excited about, is my trip in November. I get to travel the world for 7 weeks and I couldn't be more excited. I'm not sure if it's because I get to leave this town or if it's because I get to see new parts of the world, but I'm excited. I can't wait to just get away. I already know those 7 weeks will be the best seven weeks of this year. I know I'll be happy. Maybe not every minute of every day, but for the majority of the time I'll be happy. I get to do what I love, far away from the people who bring me down. 

I got a panic attack two weeks ago, and before that I hadn't gotten one for about three months. And I was doing really well, and I felt so happy. But then, boom. It happened at work and I collapsed. I felt like I couldn't breathe. I reached out to a few friends, and felt like I was being ignored. When you're going through hell, it can literally be a lifesaver to feel like you've got support. Which I didn't really feel. My best friend always has my back and no one knows more about my mental illness than she does, and I'm blessed that she always knows how to handle me at my worst. I don't really tell a lot of people about my mental illness because I feel like I get judged. And I shouldn't have to feel that way at all, I shouldn't be ashamed of myself. So many people struggle with it, so I know I'm not alone. I was severely depressed as a teenager and it got very bad. My depression still shows up, like an old friend you'd rather have left in high school.. But it keeps coming back. But right now, the anxiety and the panic attacks are the worst. And I feel like it's expected of me to constantly be happy, to be cheerful and to smile and be cocky. But sometimes, life ain't that good. I can't always be smiling, I ain't got that in me. Sometimes it has to be okay to cry and to be really goddamn sad. The thing is, people always talk about how if you're happy and cheerful then people will be "attracted" to you and want to talk and stuff. And sure, it makes sense. People are normally more attracted to outgoing and cheery people, but no one is like that all the time? 

I know I have to work on myself, and work on my mental health. It sounds worse than it is, I suppose. It just means that I have to work on doing things that make me happy, and do things for me. So often I find myself doing what other people want me to do, and doing things that's expected from society. I forget who I am and what I want. I have to be better at doing what's best for me and doing what I feel like. If I want to stay at home and watch kpop videos, rather than going to a party at a friends house, shouldn't that be okay? We're expected to constantly be social and to hang out with people, but sometimes it's so nice to just be by yourself. Spending time with yourself is just as important as spending time with other people. You gotta get to know you - before you get to know someone else. I feel like I'm just rambling, but I need to get these thoughts outta my head. This coming week I'm making some changes to my life. I'm going back to the gym, getting back into shape again. Exercise used to make me really happy and it made my demons disappear for a bit, and I'm hoping it'll work this time around too. I'm also getting rid of some people from my life. Yeah, okay that sounds awful but sometimes we need to cut people off. Whether it's blocking them on social media, deleting their number or actually telling them that this ain't working anymore, it's good. You should never ever settle with having people in your life who brings you down and steals your energy. My mum always tells me that bad friends are energy thieves, because they just steal your energy and never boosts it. Which is so true. I tend to always feel drained after interacting with some of my less good friends, and like I give a lot but get so little back. And that's not an okay way to feel. If you feel that way about any type of relationship - be it friendship or a romantic relationship, act on it. Do something - it's never okay to feel like you're the one person keeping the relationship alive. 

Anyways, this has turned into a really messy post and what I originally wanted to say was just that... I have anxiety. And panic attacks. And sometimes my depression comes back to haunt me. And that's okay. I'm not ashamed of it, and I won't try to be something I'm not. It's a part of me and even if it's not my favourite part of myself, I just gotta learn to live with it.

I have returned, finally.

It's been hella long, hasn't it? I'm sure all of you have missed my non-interesting posts about random stuff. I've been working non stop for two months while studying full time, so it's been a bit hellish if I'm honest. But now I'm not working as much, got a break before summer hits and I'm back to full time until September, so I figured why not get back to blogging. Honestly though, having a blog is a full time job? I wish I could find the time to take nice outfit pictures, organize nice posts about clothes and makeup but recently I've not had the time to do so! Hopefully now I will though.

I miss getting stuff off my chest and pouring out my thoughts into a blogpost, whether it's about something really deep or just about some clothes I want.

I'm gonna try and get some posts up this week. About my love for kpop and the absolutely amazing bands I've found out about, and how I feel that I've gotten both happier and more confident thanks to said music genre. I'm also gonna blog about all my clothes and beauty wants right now, and be warned, there's a lot. I'll also keep you updated about my plans for the year and where I'll be traveling this year... I can't wait to go exploring and see different parts of the world.

I'm actually currently at work, I'm working a night shift so I've got about 2,5 hours before I get to go home. Honestly, I can't wait. I'm insanely tired!  Red Bull + coffee = my best pals right now. I got some more tattoos recently by the way. One on my ribs, and another one on my shoulder. The shoulder one took over 10 hours in total, because my tattoo artist is insanely focused and wants every single line to be perfect. He's definitely a perfectionist. I am in love. Not with a person, but with a song. An absolutely mindblowingly beautiful song. And it's a cover. The original is made by Troye Sivan and it's stunning, but it never really made me feel anything. I thought it was a beautiful song but I never really loved it. Then, I stumbled across a cover of it and fell. Hard. The cover is made by two Korean singers from the band BTS and honestly, their cover blew me away. They uploaded it to their Soundcloud and I was stunned. Their first language is Korean, and not English, yet the English is so flawless in the cover. They've put so much effort into the song and it's absolutely beautiful. I am just in awe of how great they are. Jungkook and Rap Monster both have incredible vocals and this is just a really really great cover. Please listen to it and tell me what you think!

BTS - Run // x

I listen to this song every single day. BTS are a Korean group that I have spent about 3 weeks listening to on repeat. I'm not even kidding. I just love their music so much. They're great dancers and singers and their music videos are amazing. But more on that in another post... This song is absolutely amazing. Just check it out, even if you're not into kpop. It's so good.

Young Rising Sons - Fucked Up // x

This song is SO good. A girl I follow on twitter got me into these guys and I absolutely adore their music. This song makes me happy and it's a proper amazing pop tune. It's got some great vocals and the music is just really great. I've told literally all my friends about this song. Look it up!

EXO - Lightsaber // x

Yep, it's actually called Lightsaber. It's also Korean and fucking AMAZING. Exo are an absolutely amazing group of guys who can do no wrong in my eyes. Lightsaber is a collaboration with Star Wars (obviously) and it's such a great song. The video is only about 2 minutes, but the song is 4. If you like the video, look it up on spotify!

MAX - Wrong // x

I love Max. I've loved him since I saw his covers on youtube and I was so happy when he was signed by DCD2 Records (which is owned by Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy). Max Schneider has such an incredible voice and I listened to his song Gibberish all summer long. Wrong is a killer track and please check it out and support this incredible guy!

The Maine - As Long As You Love Me // x

The Maine is honestly one of my all time favourite pop-punk bands. They have such amazing lyrics and they are just the best. However, this song is a cover! Yes! It's a Backstreet Boys song and the Maine has made it into their own. It's different from the original and it's got such a chilled out vibe. I love it!

Honestly, who doesn't love this song? It's incredible. That's all I'm gonna say. You've probably already heard it.

Panic! At The Disco - Emperor's New Clothes // x

Honestly I haven't listened to Panic! At the Disco in so many years, but then I happened to hear this song and was like... whoa. This is so good. I love Brendon's voice and this song has got some killer music in it.

Hailee Steinfeld - You're Such A // x

This is just a really good pop song. It's so catchy and I love Hailee's voice and the lyrics are fun. It's just a great song!

Troye Sivan - Fools // x

I was a bit late to the Troye hype and I do enjoy his album, but this is probably the only song I listen to on a weekly basis. A band I love has made a cover of this which was absolutely astonishing, but Troye's original will always be the best.

What I feel mostly in my life is that I've been doing this for the wrong reason. I keep worrying about other people's feeling and thoughts, and I don't really focus on mine. I've become so aware of everyone elses opinion that my own doesn't seem to matter anymore. I've lived life the way people want me to. Honestly, this is such a common thing. Society is full of adverts telling us how to dress, how to act, how to look. There's a shitload of propaganda out there telling girls how to act and look so that boys will approve of it and fall in love with them. Honestly, isn't that so dumb? We shouldn't have to feel like we dress or look the way we do for someone's approval. We should dress for ourselves. Fuck the others. I talk a good game, but I've been one of those people. Thinking that oh, if I dress this way maybe I'll seem more appealing, maybe people will like me. What good has that done? None. I've been through a lot of shit in my life, I've fought a lot of battles. Mostly with my own head. My brain has a tendency to make me feel absolutely horrendous. No one can make me feel as worthless and useless as my brain can. I'm an expert at being mean to myself. Honestly, I'm my own bully. I think most people have a tendency to be very critical of themselves. We long to fit in, long to have friends and connect with people that we are willing to do anything. I've spent so much time in my life wondering why people don't like me. Is it the way I dress? Is it my personality? Am I too fat? Too loud? Am I just... not good enough? My brain's answer to all these questions: Yes. Yes that it, that's what wrong with you. And honestly, it's all lies. There's absolutely nothing wrong with me. And not with you. And not with anyone else. We are all bloody perfect the way we are. We just need to realize that.


It's not easy coming to terms with who you are and accepting yourself. I should know. I'm still not 100% sure that I like myself. I mean, some days I do. Some days I don't. I guess that's life. But if I think back to how I was a year ago... Damn son, I've changed a lot. For the better! And I shall continue to do so. I spent the majority of last year doing things I thought was the right thing. Maybe they were, back then. I saw bands I really liked, I travelled to places I enjoy and where I have friends living. But at some point, I stopped enjoying it. Maybe something changed. Maybe I did? When I went to London in August, I had a blast. I saw some really great bands live, but it also made me feel... full. Sometimes when you see band live countless of times, and they play the same setlist every time.. It gets boring. You know what to expect. It's the same show. That's what happened. I wasn't surprised anymore, I wasn't ecstatic about their music. That trip was overall a great time, and I had so much fun with my friends. So much fun, that I decided to go back in November. But that wasn't as fun. The first day, I was so happy. I love London, I really do, and I love walking around it and just being there. But as the days went by, I started to feel a bit uneasy. I wasn't happy. I just felt like I was wasting time and money. I could've been home, at work and saving money for my trip to Thailand. Instead I was in London buying clothes I didn't need. I saw my friends, and I love them very much, but we are very different. There's about 4 of them I count as close friends, the others are basically now just acquaintances. We used to have so much in common, now there's nothing. I think you know when a friendship is starting to end, when planning to meet up is such a hassle that you start to think you don't even want to meet up at all. Sometimes you grow apart. You lead different lives and things change, it's honestly very natural. I've always been a girl with few friends, and most of them have always lived in other cities or countries. I honestly do love long distance friendships and it's great to have friends all over the world. You don't need to speak every single day, but honestly if I don't speak to someone for a month... It's not working. I think during that trip to London I realized that I wasn't there because I wanted to. I was there because it was kinda expected of me to go there. My friends wanted me to visit. So I did. But did I 100% want to? I don't know. I was excited to go there, absolutely, but it wasn't the same giddy feeling I've felt before. I missed home a lot as well, something I rarely do while there. I missed my family and my friends here. I actually even missed my job. It wasn't fun. I think that was my turning point in life. I needed to change. For the better. Again.


I'm 100% sure I have lived way too many parts of my life doing things for others. I've worried way too much about what others will think and say. Like, fuck them! This is my life and it's a short one. I have to do what I want. I've always been fairly good at dressing how I want to, but people always have an opinion about it. Since I'm not the skinniest gal around, people normally use the "aren't you too big to wear that?" and "it looks a bit vulgar". Y'all, I'm just wearing a low cut top, not walking around in my underwear. It's like, because I have curves people seem to think it's okay to have opinions about what I wear. It's not, honestly. It's like, if one of my friends who's skinny would wear a bodysuit and a pair of denim shorts people would praise that outfit and say that it looks really nice. When I wear that, people say I'm too fat and that it's vulgar. It's too sexualised. That ain't my problem though? That's society's problem. I should be able to wear whatever I want without being seen as some kind of sex-object? Like, please. Curves are seen as so vulgar and sexy and it's so wrong. Like, this is my body and it's not for your use. Stop sexualising my outfits. I wear the clothes I wear for my sake. I like them, I feel comfortable in them. I don't give a fuck if I guy likes it? Like, hell. I dress for me! The issue is with you, not me. I didn't use to think like this though, not up until the middle of last year. I was (and still is) very insecure. I have the world self-confidence and I honestly struggle to find things I am good at. I don't like complimenting myself. But I've started to try and change my way of thinking. I am so damn great at my job. I'm great at writing. I'm really funny and I have a massive heart and I care about people so much. I'm loving and kind. And on some days, I look really fucking great. I'm a bloody catch. This isn't easy to get into my head though. Some days, I feel like I'm a ten and that I can do absolutely anything. Then, some days I feel like I'm the ugliest human being ever and I hide at home watching tv shows and binge eating. No one's perfect, to be honest. Actually, there's no such thing as perfect. We are all our own types of perfect. Like, I'm perfect in my own ways.


Nothing good can ever come out of doing things for other people's approval. Do things for you. Don't do what everybody else thinks you should. Do what you want, not what they want. You go being amazing and follow YOUR dreams. Don't follow someone else's. Find your passion, and go for it. Don't let someone else tell you what's right for you, only you know that. It's taken me so many years to figure out who I am, and what I want, and it's not easy. But it's great when you do find out. I only made one new years resolution for 2016, and it sounds like a real simple one but it's actually hard. "Do things for you, not for others". Basically, like I've said I've been an expert in doing things others think I should. I've been doing stuff for their happiness, not for mine. I've been really bad at doing things that make me happy. I've been neglecting my own happiness and putting others before me. It's not a bad thing to sometimes put other people's happiness before you own, but don't do it all the time. Because sometimes, they don't actually prioritize your  happiness and that will make you feel absolutely horrible. Friendships are all about giving and taking. If you feel like all your friend does is take, and that you get 0 back... It's not a good friendship. Focus on your happiness and what you want to do. Don't put up with people walking all over you and treating you like crap. You're a star, don't let people treat you like you're dirt. That's also something I have to work on this year, because I am an expert at letting others walk all over me. I don't like confrontation, but I have to work on that. This is the year where I won't take any bullshit. This is my year.

Life is full of regrets. There's big regrets and there's small regrets. But however big or small, they always seem to mess with our heads. We can regret buying a shirt on a shopping spree, whether it was £10 or £80. We can regret big decisions, such as picking the right education. Some choices should definitely be thought through completely, but nonetheless big or small - it can always lead to regrets.

I've spent my life regretting things. I quit university because I was convinced I was in the wrong line of education. And I was correct. Before quitting, I spent months having panic attacks about quitting and what it would lead to. I was worried that I was making the wrong choice and that I would regret it. But I haven't. Not for a single second. And now I'm in college again, studying something that I really enjoy. And I don't think I would've figured it out if I hadn't quit the other course. 

But there's always gonna be regrets. Life's full of them. It will always be full of regrets. And that's good, to be honest. I mean, if you're thinking about making a big change to your life, you should always be worried about consequences. But not too worried. Because being worried can make you go absolutely insane. Trust me, I know. 

I've decided to stop living my life regretting things I've done. I mean what's the point? If you've done something, be happy you did it. But if you have to regret something, regret what you did do. Not what you didn't do. If you regret stuff you didn't do, then you're gonna spend the rest of your life in agony. Wondering what could have happened if things had gone differently, if your life had been different then. I've been there and it's ridiculously painful to constantly wonder what could have been. It's better to regret what you did. I mean, at least then you'll have something nice to remember. Because like my title said, at one point it was exactly what you wanted. 

So what I want to say in this mess of a post is, never regret what you did. Or didn't do. Don't regret anything. Never regret sleeping with someone who's name you can't remember (we've all been there). Never regret buying something that you really wanted, even if it meant you had to live on noodles for the rest of the month. Never regret drinking too much at a night out, if you had fun doing so. Never regret the pictures of your drunken self that your friend uploads, because it's a memory for life. Never regret being with someone who made you really happy at the time, but who's now not in your life anymore. Who cares if they made you sad for a while, if they at one point made you really happy? Treasure that. Treasure the happy moments.

Hope y'all are well. I'm currently doing a night shift at work and it's v boring because there's literally nothing to do. So I thought "what can I possibly do so I'm less bored?" and then it hit me: BLOG. Yeah so I'm back for good now! Y'all ain't getting rid of me. Album review is coming up now, and it was on my "most anticipated albums of 2015" list and it's Fifth Harmony's debut album Reflection (Deluxe Edition)! I won't do a track by track review but yeah, let's go!

I've always been a fan of girlbands. Ever since I heard Spice Girls for the first time as a kid I was hooked. Me and my friends used to dance to Spice Girls and pretend we were different members. I was always Geri - not entirely sure why. I just thought she was SO cool. Then came my love for TLC, then Destiny's Child, then Sugababes and Girls Aloud. And then I found Little Mix and absolutely loved them. And then I remember seeing Fifth Harmony all over twitter and tumblr and honestly, at first I wasn't that impressed. I had enough bands in my life and figured I didn't need to pay attention to them. I was a Little Mix fan and thought one girlband was enough. However, I loved Miss Movin' On when it came out. But that was it. Then I didn't really care until Fifth Harmony released BO$$. There was just something about that song that I really loved. It was catchy and had some hilarious lyrics. And then I heard Sledgehammer and I was floored. Slowly but surely, I was becoming a Fifth Harmony fan.

When the album was released, I tried to be skeptical about it. I found my favourite songs immediately and then kinda didn't care about the other. Until I listened to the album from start to end and realised that it was one heck of an album. As I'm looking at the tracklist I can honestly say that there's no song I don't like. Sure there are tracks I don't love as much as the others, but there's no bad song. Not one.

My first favourite was Sledgehammer, because it's just an incredible song. Then, I adored Brave Honest Beautiful because of the lyrics but also the amazing intro which is a nod to Destiny's Child's Bootylicious intro. I honestly didn't care for Everlasting Love, Like Mariah or Suga Mama at first, but they've grown on me. The girls show off some insane vocals in those three songs and I am genuinely so impressed by their vocals. The girls have so much talent between them.

There's a lot of variety on the album. There's tracks for everything. You wanna get a confidence boost? Listen to Reflection or Brave Honest Beautiful. You wanna dance your ass off? Body Rock or This is How We Roll. You're mad at some boy who's done you wrong? We Know.

If I had to choose my favourite songs, it'd had to be Top Down, Going Nowhere and Brave Honest Beautiful. But literally every song on the album is incredible and I'm so amazed by these five girls. They've grown so much on me and I can't help but love their music. What a kick ass album. Every other girlband out there - take notes. This is how a real pop album should sound.

There's pop songs, there's influences from R'n'B and hip-hop, there's ballads and there's party anthems and girl power anthems. There's also some collaborations, with a guest apparence from Tyga on Like Mariah, Kid Ink on Worth It and Meghan Trainor on Brave Honest Beautiful. Brave Honest Beautiful has some of the best lyrics on the album, including "don't go and waste your precious time with all the nonsense on your mind, no don't criticize yourself no more, you got a smile worth fighting for".

I reckon 2015 is gonna be a very good year for music. We've already had a brilliant album from Fall Out Boy and a debut album from Meghan Trainor, as well as Mark Ronson's fourth studio album. There's definitely some releases this year that I cannot wait for. I thought I'd write them down. 

I for one, cannot wait for Pierce The Veil to finally drop a new album. Their last album came out 2012 and it's still one of my favourite albums, but I'm dying to hear some new music. I'm so excited to hear what they've been working on! There's no actual release date - or album name - so I guess I'll just have to wait and see. 

Fifth Harmony - Reflection (February 3rd)

Yeah, this is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I love a good girl band and while I wasn't a massive fan of Fifth Harmony's first EP, except for Miss Movin' On, I am very excited for this album. BO$$ is amazing, despite the ricidulous spelling. Them Girls be Like is my jam. And they dropped a new audio on youtube a few days ago, for a song called Worth It (feat. Kid Ink) and it's so damn good. Actually really excited to hear the entire album!

Imagine Dragons - Smoke + Mirrors (February 17th)

I loved Imagine Dragons first album. I was actually obsessed with it and I love everything about this band's music. Their lyrics and music is always so killer, and the vocals are outstanding. They've dropped two singles so far, Gold and I Bet My Life. Gold is just wow. Go listen to it right now. Then be impressed.

Marina and The Diamonds - Froot (April 3rd)

Froot is Marina's third album and I've loved both her albums previous to it and I've very excited to see what Froot sounds like. I can't say I'm overly impressed with the songs I've heard so far. There's no denying that Marina's voice is amazing, but I'm not 100% sure I'm gonna love the new album.

The Wombats - Glitterbug (April 6th)

As a teenager, I loved the Wombats. I loved their first album, and probably listened to it more than what was acceptable. Their second album was alright with some incredible song, but not like the first. Now, four years later, they're finally back. And holy shit, they are still incredible. They dropped the first single, Greek Tragedy, a while ago. The video is really weird but the song is amazing. Go listen to it asap, you won't regret it.

All Time Low - Future Hearts (April 7th)

I've been a fan of All Time Low for years, since they released The Party Scene in 2005. I've loved every album they've released, until they released Don't Panic. I didn't hate it, I just didn't love it. I thought some songs were good but overall I was bored by it. I've heard their new song Something's Gotta Give a few times and I do actually love it, so I'm very excited to hear the rest of the album!

There's rumours that Iggy Azalea will drop a new album this year and hey, here's to hoping. I love her and desperately need some new Iggy tracks in my life.

The most anticipated album for me would be a new one from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. I live for The Heist and I want new music from them so badly. Hopefully 2015 is the year they drop a new album!

Fall Out Boy - American Beauty/American Psycho

I don't think anyone who knows me have been able to miss the fact that I am a massive Fall Out Boy fan. I'd say they are one of my top 5 favourite bands, ever. I'm very rarely disappointed by their music, but there's some albums in their past that I haven't been completely in love with. (Pax Am Days, anyone?) Their new album dropped a few days ago and I have already listened through it a bunch of times. Verdict? Stunning. 

A lot of people are saying that Fall Out Boy have changed a lot, and maybe they have. It's natural though, for a band to change as they grow older. They progress, and find inspiration in other places. Their style might change. I think Fall Out Boy is one of those bands who have only changed for the better. I was obsessed with Take This to Your Grave and From Under The Cork Tree when I was a teenager and they were on repeat most days. I l o v e d Infinity on High - even though a lot of people hated it. I found Folie A Deux to be one of those albums that I don't like at the first listen, but then it grows on you. And Save Rock and Roll - my favourite album from 2013 - was an instant favourite. But what about American Beauty / American Psycho?

Since Save Rock and Roll was such a hit with me, I had insanely high expectations when they announced the new album. I loved Centuries at the first listen, but I was very skeptic when I heard American Beauty/American Psycho (the song). It was so different and weird. But it grew on me. And then there was Immortals, which I absolutely adored. Those three songs are a great example about how much variety the album holds. Centuries has an arena-rock vibe to it, while American Beauty/American Psycho has clear influences from the late 70's mixed with pop. And Immortals? It's like a slow rock song with pop influences that gets stuck in your head for days.

I hate albums where all songs sound the same, and I don't think Fall Out Boy have ever had one of those albums. American Beauty/American Psycho is definitely an album full of variety. You have The Kids Are Alright, which is a bit more mellow - as well as Jet Pack Blues and Favorite Record. There's so many good songs and I am once again amazed by this band. Patrick's vocals seems to be getting better and better and he's showing more ranges than ever. The songwriting is absolutely excellent. Both the music, vocals and lyrics on this album are out of this world. 

For me, there's always some songs I find myself absolutely obsessed with on an album. On this album, it's hard to choose. There's Uma Thurman - a song I literally can't get out of my head for days. It's so catchy and there's some incredible guitar and bass parts that I'm obsessed with. There's Favorite Record, a beautiful and kinda mellow song about being very in love with someone. There's Irresistible, where Patrick utters some French words and it's an absolutely incredible song.

All in all, it's an incredible album and I'm pretty sure this band can never fail. Will it be the best album I hear this year? I don't know. Maybe. We'll see in December.

5. The Wanted - Word of Mouth ♡

One of my favourite albums of the year came from the UK boyband who won me over with lovely ballads and up tempo dance tracks. There's something for everyone on this album, except if you're looking for some guitar riffs. It's a brilliant album and all the boys have amazing vocals that truly show off in the songs. The deluxe edition with over 18 songs is a fantastic bargain and well worth the money. I did a full review of the album that can be found here.

4. Justin Bieber - Journals ♡

This is a very fresh release! It only officially dropped last week but some songs have been out since October with one song being released every Sunday on iTunes. Brilliant concept! Then the album dropped on the 22nd and there was 5 additional songs on it. I was first very very unsure of this album and Justin's new direction in music. I disliked Heartbreaker so much when I first heard it and I didn't really listen to any of the songs until end of November when I came across Roller Coaster. I was floored by how incredible it was and how insanely good Justin's voice was. It was a fantastic song and for weeks I only listened to that song. Then I started listening to more and more tracks from the album and the last week it's all I've been listening to. I went to see Believe (it was amazing) and it made me love these songs so much more, cause I got to hear them in a different way and see why he decided to do some genre changes. This album is heavily RnB influenced and there's some incredible slow songs with sexual references, so it's safe to say Bieber's all grown up. There's not really a bad song on this album and Justin's voice has gotten incredible and his skills as a songwriter is just.. wow. Some of the artists that are featured on the songs are R. Kelly (PYD), Chance The Rapper (Confident), Lil Wayne (Backpack), Big Sean (Memphis) and Future (What's Hatnin). So there's a lot of rappers on it but it's definitely not a rap album, hah. Mostly r'n'b and pop. And it ain't bad! Justin's grown up and I'm loving it - just as much as I loved his first album. He can pretty much do anything?!

Best songs: Roller Coaster, Confident (feat. Chance the Rapper), Memphis (feat. Big Sean), PYD, All That Matters.

3. The Blackout - Start the Party ♡

The minute I heard this album in its fullness I knew it'd be one of my favourites from 2013. The Blackout is one of my favourite bands and I've loved the six guys from Wales since early 2007. This album - their fourth - is absolutely incredible in every single way and it's impossible for me to find one bad song on it. There's hard rock song, brilliant up tempo and fun songs and some absolutely amazing lyrics. Singers and song writers Gavin Butler and Sean Smith have done a tremendous job of delivering perfect lyrics. Strong vocals and overall one of my favourite albums of the year, possibly ever.

2. 3OH!3 - Omens ♡

I've been a fan of 3OH!3 for many years and Streets of Gold (the album they released before Omens) was my favourite album of the year when it was released in 2010. So I've waited for 3 years for a new album from the fantastic duo and in June they dropped Omens and I literally loved it from the first seconds of the opening track. I'd heard three songs before and they were amazing and when I first listened through the album in it's entirety I couldn't believe how incredible it was. Sean and Nat are so insanely talented and I wish more people would listen to them. Their music might come off as immature and not very serious, but it's incredible. There's fun tracks with brilliant tongue in cheek lyrics ("it ain't over till the fat lady sings and Adele ain't on this track, whoops did I say that, yes I did" //// "it's time to get stupid it's time to get kardashian"). They also have more serious tracks (mostly on Streets of Gold) but on Omens, listen to Back to Life because it's more low key and absolutely incredible. I couldn't possibly choose one favourite song on the album, because even the songs I used to like the least I now love so much. There's not one bad song on Omens and it would've been my number one album - if I hadn't waited five years for the album that stole that number 1 spot. Omens is a masterpiece.

1. Fall Out Boy - Save Rock and Roll ♡

Five years. That's how long I waited for this album. I didn't even think I'd ever get it. In 2009 my favourite band of all times went on a hiatus. They said it wasn't the end of the band - but who knew? Then it was quiet for 4 years. There was tons of rumours but they were dismissed. Then in February, something happened. On the 4th of February I was on facebook scrolling through my feed when I came across a newly written status from Fall Out Boy saying they were back - with a new song and video being released the same day. I literally started crying, I'm not even kidding. This band pretty much saved my life and made me into the person I am today and I love them with all my heart. The fact that they were back made everything so much better. Later that day I listened to My Songs Know What You Did in The Dark and fell in love with Fall Out Boy all over again. It was like I was 14 again and listening to their music on repeat to get through a day in school. Then in April, Save Rock and Roll was released. I listened to it a week in advance on Soundcloud, because they put up the album there. I remember having it on repeat every single day on Soundcloud until I could download it from iTunes.There's not a bad song on this album. Every time I listen through it I'm filled with so many emotions and I constantly find new lyrics that I adore. Picking a favourite song is just impossible. I love how Fall Out Boy have done some incredible rock songs with guitar riffs and hard drums but also lovely piano ballads that aren't boring nor lame. It's an incredible mix of genres. The lyrics are just amazing and I'm blown away by this album. My first favourites on the album were Alone Together and Rat A Tat and they're still two of my favourites, but the song I've listened to the most has to be The Mighty Fall. I love that Fall Out Boy have taken in some guests on their songs, like Foxes (Just One Yesterday), Big Sean (The Mighty Fall), Courtney Love (Rat A Tat), Elton John (Save Rock and Roll) and 2 Chainz (My Songs.... remix). 

It's an amazing album and I've listened to Fall Out Boy for over 10 years and it's incredible to see them grow so much as a band. Fucking brilliant album - excuse the cursing. It's just that good of an album.

(Ps. I love how in Save Rock and Roll, this is a bit of the lyrics "I will defend the faith, going down swinging" which makes me think of their biggest hit, Sugar We're Going Down)

Best songs: The Mighty Fall, Just One Yesterday, Rat A Tat, The Phoenix, Save Rock and Roll, Alone Together, Death Valley, My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark, Where Did The Party Go, Young Volcanoes, Miss Missing You. Yes, that's the entire album. I can't choose.
